What Now in Iraq?

In Spring 2006, we held two public forums at Cabrillo College, featuring academics and experts on Iraq. The sessions were well attended, and videotaped -- links to the videos are on the left. Though it's now summer 2007, the forums, sadly, are still pertinent to today's world. Watch them!

Many of us believed that the results of the November 2006 mid-term elections carried an important message for President Bush: Americans want change in Iraq policy. The Iraq Study Group issued its report in early December 2006 advising new approaches, but the report has largely been ignored by this Administration.

Our country needs to engage in serious national discussions about U.S. foreign policy decisions in the Middle East that affect so many lives.

If you organize an event to discuss U.S. foreign policy as it relates to Iraq, or more broadly to the Middle East, we'd like to know about it. If you videotape your event, and post it to the Web, we would appreciate having the Web address. Our goal is to create a portal on the Internet that will provide access to a variety of discussions.
